To my brothers and sisters of Hellas, who live on the island of the Sun God, and have built a temple there for the Gods all, I write to you as the Head Priest of the temple in Machesney Park, Illinois, United States, and first pray that Olympos shine blessings upon you for your devotion and courage.
I must first address you on behalf of your Priest Evangelos Bougadakis. For a good portion of this year, he has been my most trusted spiritual counselor, throughout the worst time of my adult life in terms of mental and physical health, and for this service he never expected anything from me. I found myself, at one point during the summer, suffering from a complete mental breakdown, and this caused me to eventually become physically sick as well. But a great part of healing for my mental and emotional problems came from the counsel of Evangelos. He made me realize the truths of my anxiety and it greatly aided in my recovery, and grew my knowledge about Hellenism and my experience with the Gods.
I have also been consistently delighted to see your temple and your devotional activities. Your presence is an amazing blessing to Rhodes and her people, and I pray that Athena make you an Akropolis of spirituality, culture, history, and a home for Hellenes. In the future, it would be an honor for me to be of service to you in some way, and I hope that our two temples can find some way to work together across the world, remembering that our mission should be peace, love, spiritual uplift, and empowerment of the human potential.
