A Word From The Priest

Nothing weather wise makes me happier than summer. I love hot and vibrant atmospheres, being from North Carolina. It also means that it's the most publicly active time for our temple because the weather is suitable for public events, especially since the Covid restrictions are ramping down among the massive vaccination efforts that have been underway this year. By the way, it gives me great peace of mind knowing that no one in our temple was killed or seriously hurt by the virus. I thank the Gods every day for the protection they gave us all. I remember when it all first started last year, I stood outside our tree sanctuary and prayed to Apollon, asking Him to tell me what to do and what to tell people. "Persevere" was the response I got. I think we have all certainly done that very well. Anyone who has been fully vaccinated is more than welcome to attend our public rites this summer, as they will no longer only be online. Lastly, keep in mind, if you don't already know, that July is vacation month for the clergy, as has been the tradition since our founding. I will release all clergy members from their duty on July 1st to August 1st, with the exception of our two public events in July. Clergy will be unavailable for services during this time period. Have a wonderful summer.

In the Goodness of the Gods,
Priest Christopher.

Temple News

On April 24th of this year, Priest Christopher ordained a new priest for the temple, Kal Vorpahl, who will serve as the 1st priest of Priest Christopher's cabinet.

The temple will finish the remodel of one of its largest outside sanctuaries early in June, the Sanctuary of Athena of the People or Athena Pandemos.

The temple's annual Festival of Poseidon is coming up on June 12th. Check the temple events page on Facebook for details. The remaining public festivals for the summer will be Aphrodisia and Panathenaia in July. Again keep watch on our FB events page.
